The Temple of the Dancing Maiden
The Temple of the Dancing Maiden is a Water-aspected manse once located in a glittering lake surrounded by a vast forest. Time and neglect has caused the lake to stagnate and turn into a swamp, and the forest surrounding became home to various species of wood spider and opportunistic bandit. When the Lady in Yellow found her way to the manse, she found it perfectly suited for her purpose. Confining the snippy spirit sworn to protect the manse to the library and orrery on the top floor, she set about adjusting the manse’s geomancy to suit her needs.
Pictures of various Incarnae graced the walls, with prominent placement given to Venus, the Maiden of Serenity, who dances throughout every carving. The Lady in Yellow found it easy to convert the Incarnae to pictures of the confined Yozi, watching the elegant yet disturbing dance of Malfeas, the Demon King. With the geomancy changed, the manse began taking on the oily aspect of vitriol, the blood of the Yozis.
The party defeated the Sun-Scarred bandits within the manse and descended into the lower levels to destroy a pair of Malfean demon-spiders and free the priestess of Jonquil, purifying the temple in the process. Her plans foiled, the Lady in Yellow moved on to another plan.
